The most abundant protein in MMU is MPI. It is derived from Grade A milk and consists of approximately 80% casein and 20% whey.
5. Which proteins in MMU are "fast" and which are "slow"?
Because MPI consists largely of casein, which digests more slowly, it may be considered to be a "slow" protein. WPI, egg albumen, and caseinate (a water-soluble form of casein) may be considered to be "fast" proteins.
Whey raises blood amino acid levels faster and higher than casein. This is good for stimulating muscle protein synthesis. To build muscle (gain mass) you have to stimulate muscle protein synthesis. Whey’s effects last about 2 hours.
Casein raises blood amino acid levels more slowly and to lower values than whey. However, its effects last longer –about 3-4 hours. This is good for reducing muscle protein breakdown. To build muscle as quickly as possible, it is desirable to stimulate muscle protein synthesis and minimize excess muscle protein breakdown. (A bucket fills up with water faster when it doesn’t have holes in it.) With MMU, you get the best of both worlds!

Recommended Use:
To make a delicious shake: Pour 8 oz of cold water into a blender or the container of your choice. Add 2 scoops of MMU and blend or mix until the texture is smooth or as you desire it. Drink and enjoy!
For a thicker, sweeter shake, reduce the amount of water slightly. Adding ice cubes when blending will also increase thickness. For a thinner shake, add more water.
If you require more calories, simply add more scoops of MMU when preparing your shake. Add about 5 oz of cold water for each additional scoop. You may also add milk or cream and/or your favorite nut butter to increase the caloric value of your shakes.
